About InCTF

India Capture The Flag (InCTF) is an annual national cybersecurity competition. By registering, all participants agree to follow these rules.

Eligibility Criteria

To compete in the onsite finals and be eligible for prizes, participants must:

  • Be a current undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) student.
  • Be a citizen of the Republic of India.

Beginner Category Policy

  • InCTF supports new talent.
  • Participants with prior experience (e.g., internships, active CTF club involvement, competitive achievements, advanced training) are not considered beginners.
  • Misrepresenting your experience will lead to disqualification from the Beginner category and potentially the entire competition.
  • Beginner teams will be ranked with all participants and receive special recognition during the finals.

Educational Background

All participants must be actively enrolled UG or PG students. If you are in a non-traditional educational format or are an independent learner, you must notify the organizers for eligibility verification.

Team Composition

  • Teams must have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) members.
  • All team members must meet the individual eligibility criteria.
  • Teams must be finalized during registration. No changes or substitutions are allowed after registration is complete.

Participation Conduct

Participants must uphold academic honesty and ethical standards.

Prohibited Actions Include:

  • Sharing answers, hints, or solutions with others
  • Using solutions that were already available before the contest
  • Violating these rules will result in disqualification and may affect your ability to participate in future InCTF events.

Certificates

Certificates will be issued based on your registration profile. Please ensure accuracy. You can make corrections until the contest begins. Post-event corrections must be requested via email within seven (7) days.

Types of Certificates:

  • Participation Certificate: For all teams with a non-zero score in the Online Qualifier (Digital PDF, emailed).
  • Certificate of Appreciation: For performing teams in the Online Qualifier (Digital PDF, emailed).
  • Certificate of Achievement: For winning teams in the Onsite Finals (Physical copy, mailed to registered addresses).
